Honors College

The mission of the Honors College is to prepare and provide our academically talented students with curricula and experiences that will challenge them intellectually and ultimately produce graduates who will be assets to their society. — Message from the Dean

Student Life

We strongly believe the college experience is more satisfying and rewarding when students pursue their interests outside the classroom. Opportunities include Student Organizations, Intramural, Lyceum Programs, Intercollegiate Activities, University Standing Committees and Residence Hall Programs.

Flagship of the Delta

Unique career choices are available at the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff (UAPB). A Center of Excellence designate of the United States Department of Agriculture, the UAPB Bachelor Degree Program in Regulatory Science is the exclusive choice for that study in the nation. The program is the product of an enabling partnership with national governmental agencies such as the United States Department of Agriculture, United States Department of Transportation, and other national agencies.

You would want to know also that UAPB offers the only Bachelor and Master's Degree Programs in Aquaculture/Fisheries in Arkansas. Not only is the Aquaculture Program the Center of Excellence at this university, but also it is an internationally-recognized educational value and economic value as well. You will want to know also that teacher education--a focus of this institution for 125 years--along with minority business development, mathematics and science, as well as student leadership development are high priorities. And competitive athletics with a new $7.5 million complex are just some of the enhancements to the out-of-class learning and social experience.
