Welcome!

Student Support Services is a federally funded TRiO program designed to provide free academic support to college students. SSS offers academic advisement, enrollment, peer mentoring, free tutoring, financial aid information and a variety of enrichment workshops and cultural activities to students at the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff.

Participation in SSS provides personal and academic enrichment for students who may face economic, social, and cultural barriers to higher education. SSS Maintains information on campus and refers members to appropriate offices and agencies.

Tutoring labs are staffed by SSS coordinators and trained peer tutors who provide daily assistance  in reading/study strategies, English, and math, as well as pre-scheduled tutorial sessions in additional subjects as requested. Each individual tutorial session is prescheduled by the participant.


Note: the U.S. Department of Education funds 100% of the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff’s Student Support Services program. For the 2009-2010 program year, a total of $399,999 was provided by through a Title IV grant.
