Procedure for Disseminating Student Information
"Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act of 1974 (FERPA) - A federal law designed to protect the privacy of education records, to establish the right of students to inspect and review their education records, and to provide guidelines for the correction of inaccurate and misleading data through informal and formal hearings."
In accordance with the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act of 1974, certain information pertaining to students may not be released to a third party without the written consent of the student. Therefore, the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff hereby designates the following categories of student information as public or "Directory Information".
