Mission
Using a collaborative approach toward the total student development, the mission of Student Health Services is to ensure students who use this facility maintain an optimal level of health.
The Major Goals of the Student Health Services are to:
Ensure optimal health by providing full-time and part-time students that use the Health Center an individual plan of care.
Emphasize prevention strategies to students on a level of his/her understanding to avoid recurring health problems.
Ensure that each primary and ancillary staff receives ongoing education and training on current health trends in order to support Health Services Mission.
Assess the quality and quantity of activities in the Student Health Services confirms the appropriateness of the mission that the users maintain the optimal level of health.
Health Service Students Organization:
HIV/AIDS Peer Educators are trained in HIV/AIDS prevention. H.A.P.E. is an official club on our campus and the members will do presentations upon request in the Pine Bluff area.
The Center is staffed by one Registered Nurse, Nursing Assistant, Secretary, and a part-time Medical Doctor. A Registered Nurse Practitioner from the local health department is on campus once a month at the Planned Parenthood Clinic.
