Program opportunity - Conservation Awareness Program

The Conservation Awareness Program educates small and socially disadvantaged producers on conservation programs with an emphasis on the Environmental Quality Incentive Program (EQIP). Participants learn about EQIP and are provided with assistance in selecting EQIP conservation practices that can be added to their operations to improve the land. They receive assistance in completing EQIP applications, which are submitted to the Natural Resources Conservation service (NRCS) for funding, and are also assisted in obtaining Farm Numbers, which are required to participate in USDA Programs.
