The University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff's Regional Office of the Arkansas Small Business and Technology Development Center (ASBTDC) is a university-based economic development program that assists entrepreneurs, both new and seasoned. The center at the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff serves start-up and existing businesses within four counties of the Delta Region- Jefferson, Arkansas, Monroe, and Phillips- and operates as a regional office of the ASBTDC statewide network.
ASBTDC works with all types of for-profit businesses. We assist with every aspect of business creation, management, and day to day operation.
Our knowledgeable consultants provide confidential, one-on-one consulting at no charge. Additionally, we offer research and industry information to help small business owners develop strong business and marketing plans. Our seminars cover a variety of topics, that include startup planning to funding your idea.
UAPB is the first historically Black college or university to join ASBTDC and the fourth regional host added in the past year. The new regional offices increase access to ASBTDC services for Arkansans wanting to start, strengthen, or grow a business.

Angelisa Henry, MBA
Angelisa Henry serves as the Director of UAPB's ASBTDC Regional Office. She is a UAPB alumna, who earned her bachelor’s degree from UAPB in 2009, and went on to earn her MBA from Webster University. Henry has worked for the Alzheimer’s Association, Walmart Corporate Office and the University, most recently serving in the capacity as career coach in the Office of Career Services.
