Requirements

To be eligible for U.A.P.B.’s McNair Program one must be:

  • a United States citizen or permanent resident
  • a junior and enrolled full-time at UAPB
  • a first-generation student and/or low income according to federal guidelines
  • a good academic standing with a GPA of 2.85
  • have a strong interest in attending graduate school preferably in computer science, mathematics, agriculture and home economics, arts and humanities, behavioral and social sciences, biological and life sciences, and education majors are encouraged to apply
  • visit the McNair office and pick up a pre-entry application
  • 3 faculty recommendations
  • an official academic transcript
  • a completed application packet.
