Student Life

We strongly believe that the college experience is more satisfying and rewarding when the student is able to pursue his or her interests and demonstrate his or her talents and skills. At the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff, students are encouraged to develop in a holistic manner and this requires involvement outside the classroom.

Dean of Student Life

The Dean of Student Life at the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff has full responsibility for The ROAR student handbook, student rights, due process seminars, orientation sessions for transfer students and all student conduct matters.

The Dean serves as a strong advocate for student and encourages their involvement in extracurricular activities to broaden students' educational and social experiences and develop their interpersonal skills. Students are free to visit with the
Dean of Student Life on general questions about UAPB, concern about the quality of life outside the classroom or problems beyond the scope of the operating department.

Judicial Affairs

The University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff judicial system included in The ROAR student handbook is intended to promote order and training intrinsic in and essential to the educational process of its students. The system is applicable to all students enrolled in the University who violate the Student Code of Conduct. Students will be held accountable and subject to punishment for violations of the Student Code that occur on or off campus during University sponsored and/or sanctioned events. All students are encouraged to be informed of and understand the rules and regulations as we attempt to provide a safe environment.
