Commuter Meal Plan

 

The Commuter Meal Plans were created specifically to give you a better dining value for your dollars when you use a meal card instead of paying cash to eat. When you purchase a meal plan, the magnetic strip on the back of your identification card to identifies you as a dining plan member in our computer system. Our meal plans are valid for one semester and designed to help you save money.

What meal plans are available to me?

Any 100 meals................................................... $478.00 per semester
Offers 100 meals per semester in the dining hall as well as in our retail operation through the meal equivalency option.

Any 75 meals................................................... $366.00 per semester
Offers 75 meals per semester in the dining hall as well as in our retail operation through the meal equivalency option.
 
Any 50 meals.................................. $249.00 per semester
Offers 50 meals per semester in the dining hall as well as in our retail operation through the meal equivalency option.

Any 25 meals..................................... $128.00 per semester
Offers 25 meals per semester in the dining hall as well as in our retail operation through the meal equivalency option. 
 

What is the Meal Equivalency option?

Meal equivalency is a meal exchange whereby students with a meal plan will have the choice to have their meals at a retail location in lieu of the dining hall at no additional cost.  If the price of your meal exceeds the meal equivalency rate then the remaining balanced owed will be paid with flex dollars, cash or credit card. 

 When can I use my Meal Equivalency?

 Meal equivalency may be used during the following hours:
 
Checkers
Monday – Friday
Breakfast   8:00 am-10:00 am
Lunch       11:00 am – 2:00 pm
Dinner       4:30 pm – 7:00 pm
 
Saturday & Sunday
4:00 pm-7:00 pm
 
Italian Trios
Monday – Thursday
Lunch       11:00 am – 2:00 pm
Dinner      4:30 pm – 7:00 pm
 
Where can I sign up and what are my payment options?
 
All meal plans can be purchased at the Residential Life Office through your student accounts. Financial Aid dollars can be used to purchase the commuter meal plans. You may also pay with Mastercard, Visa, cash or money order.
 
 Where can I use my Commuter Meal Card Plan?
  
With these plans you can enjoy meals offered each week in the dining hall as well as in the retail operations through meal equivalency. Meal equivalency is a convenient and flexible option which allows you to dine in the retail operations instead of the dining hall. The dining hall features all-you-care-to-eat menu options in a relaxed atmosphere. Menu offerings include:
 
 MORNING EDITIONS is breakfast your way! Start your day with a hearty traditional breakfast, made-to-order omelets, self-serve waffles or choose from a variety of cereals, danishes and fresh fruit.
 
 ORIGINS an array of comfort foods such as carved rotisserie chicken, baked fish, rich roasts and macaroni and cheese to name a few!
 
 FRESH GRILLE offers the perfect blend of traditional grill favorites and contemporary new foods. It’s more than just your traditional burgers and fries station.
 
 TRATTORIA is an Italian bistro that has been scaled to fit every appetite. We offer assorted pizzas from vegetarian to topped pizzas.
 
 GARDEN EMPORIUM is an exciting market of the freshest salad offerings and home-style soups.
 
 MENUTAINMENT offers bold presentations of your favorite foods with selected ingredients skillfully assembled right before your eyes.
 
 SANDWICH CENTRAL has deli meats and cheeses served with a variety of fresh breads and wraps.
 
 DOUBLE TREAT BAKERY is the perfect end to a delicious meal. Here you will find a wide variety of homemade desserts, pies and cakes.
 
 CENTER OF REFRESHMENT offers a wide selection of carbonated and non-carbonated beverages.
