The University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff is a remarkable institution with a strong mission and a rich land-grant history. We are looking for a new leader with a dynamic personality and vision to move us forward into the future.

UA System President Don Bobbitt has put together an excellent search committee, and we have engaged an outstanding search firm in Greenwood/Asher. The search committee is comprised of a group of individuals that represent a broad spectrum of people who are excited about the process and take seriously their role in this very important process. Committee members include a student representative, successful alumni, prominent community leaders, local business leaders, UAPB administrators, faculty and a retired campus leader.

A native of Pine Bluff, I also have a long history with UAPB. I graduated from Pine Bluff High School and completed my BS in biology at UAPB in 1980. After graduate school at UAMS, and a fellowship in Boston, I have been back on faculty at UAMS since 1993. During these last 20 years I have worked very closely with a number of UAPB faculty and administrators in the sciences, including the highly successful STEM program, and most recently, I worked with the UA System, UAPB administration and the Aquaculture and Fisheries program in establishing the first Ph.D. program at UAPB.
