A quality residential life experience is paramount in the residence halls, which are located within walking distance from your classes. It is here that some of your life-long friendships will begin. We offer a variety of student support services to heighten your college experience. With several departmental activities, social clubs, and professional leadership organizations that offer exciting extracurricular activities, you won’t have a chance to be bored. The Roar and Arkansawyer (student publications), administrative publications, and radio station, KUAP FM 89.7, will keep you well informed. Pardon our bragging the University Vesper Choir is phenomenal and the marching band…top notch!

As an advanced student, you can participate in the Cooperative Education Program. Participants are hired by an employer as interns for specified periods of time, and receive both pay and university credit hours. The experience you gain will give you an opportunity to get a feel for the real working world. Additionally, the Career Planning and Placement Office can help you secure advanced entry into the employment arena through its numerous career development programs and job fairs. You will also interact with recruiting representatives from some of America’s top business, government agencies and educational institutions.

For the sports enthusiast, the excitement of competition and of being a team player can be experienced through our Intercollegiate Athletics Programs for male and female participants. UAPB holds membership in the NCAA (National Collegiate Athletics Association) and with the SWAC (SouthWestern Athletic Conference).

The UAPB community invites you to visit the campus and meet out students, staff, and faculty. What better way to introduce yourself and explore the unlimited and wonderful opportunities awaiting you here.
