RE: Fall 2020 Class Delivery

The University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff’s highest priority is the health, safety and welfare of our students, faculty and staff. In response to the evolving 2019 novel coronavirus (COVID-19) in Arkansas and the nation, we have taken proactive measures to maintain a safe environment.

Currently, we are planning to offer face to face classes during the Fall 2020 semester. The in- person classes will have a limited capacity in order to adhere to the National Center for Disease Control (CDC) social distancing guidelines. As a result, we plan to offer additional sections of classes through online/distance learning platforms (Blackboard, Zoom, and other virtual platforms) during this timeframe. When possible, students who wish to continue their studies in the fall but opt not to return to campus will be able to participate in online/virtual learning. Faculty and students that need assistance with your distance learning environment will be supported by Mrs. Dora Sanders at 870-575-7039 or sandersd@uapb.edu. Students please contact Mary Williams 870-575-7040 or williamsm@uapb.edu for questions pertaining to online/distance learning issues. For additional resources, the university community can also visit the website for UAPB’s Center for Teaching and Learning.

We will continue to communicate our plans and updates with our campus community. For any questions or concerns that you have regarding academics, please feel free to contact me at 870- 575-8475 or academicaffairs@uapb.edu. Finally, continue to monitor your email accounts and the university website on a daily basis as additional information pertaining to university operations from the Chancellor is forthcoming. Your cooperation is greatly appreciated.
