RE: UAPB Spring Grading Policy

Administrators and faculty have continued to work through a series of extremely complicated issues as they relate to the academic enterprise at UAPB. We began our work with the faculty senate approximately ten (10) days ago to ponder the possibility of modifying our grading scale due to COVID-19. I have personally been inundated with messages from concerned students and I had time to think about your concerns and work with faculty to address those issues. With a recommendation from the majority of the faculty, we will operate under a modified grading scale for the Spring 2020 semester. Students will receive credit that adds to their grade point averages (GPA) for maintaining a grade of A, B, or C (expanded for this semester only). For students that earn a grade of F (59 or below), the course will automatically convert to an audited course that carries no credit; the course will not count in the calculation of the GPA and must be repeated for credit.

Spring 2020 Student Grading Policy:
Please take care, work hard on academics, and be safe!
