Our Vision
The UAPBPD’s vision is to provide an environment for the University Community that results in: reduction and fear of crime,
maximum efficiency, enhanced customer service, improved public confidence, and a personal and professional growth for employees.
Our Mission
The mission of the UAPB Police and Public Safety Department is to adhere to and enforce the rules and regulations as set by the
University's administration, by the City of Pine Bluff, and by the State of Arkansas; to serve and protect, and to ensure a safe
environment for the University community, to reduce the incidence and fear of crime, and to deliver quality services in a
professional and ethical manner.
Police Training
The UAPBPD is comprised of commissioned law enforcement officers sworn and delegated with the authority and powers
to enforce all state laws and violations of University codes and ordinances. Our 17 commissioned officers, 4 dispatch personnel,
and 4 civilian associates collaborate with partners within our campus community to ensure our campus is a safe place where
future leaders are developed academically to influence change, innovation and positively impact humanity. We pride ourselves
in ensuring all members of the Pride are treated with respect and sincerity.
Clery Reports
The Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act requires that an annual security report
be distributed to all current faculty, staff, and students, and notice made of its availability to prospective students, faculty, and staff.
The 2023 Annual Security and Fire Safety Report includes statistics for the previous three years (2022, 2021 and 2020) concerning
reported crimes that occurred on campus, in certain off-campus buildings, owned/leased property controlled by the University of
Arkansas, Pine Bluff campus, and on public property within, or immediately adjacent to and accessible from the campus. The report
also includes institutional policies concerning campus security, such as policies concerning alcohol and drug use, crime prevention,
the reporting of crimes, sexual assault, and the like. For prospective students and employees and all others who would like to obtain
a copy of the 2023 Report can do so from the link below. A copy may also be obtained by contacting the University of Arkansas Pine

Daily Crime Log
In accordance with the 1998 Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act, an electronic
version of the Daily Crime Log is posted below. The Daily Crime Log includes the date and time the crime was reported, the date
and time the crime occurred, the location of the crime, the nature of the crime, and the disposition of the complaint, if known. A
hard copy of the Daily Crime Log is available, upon request, by calling 870-575-8102, or by visiting the UAPB Traffic Division
during normal business hours (Monday – Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.), 1900 West Reeker Avenue, Pine Bluff, AR 71601.

Sexual Offenders Notification Requirements
Information regarding sexual offenders is maintained and on file at the UAPB Police Department. In addition, the information is available
at the Arkansas Crime Information Center at
https://www.acic.org/citizens. Information regarding sexual offenders is available upon request.
Fire Safety and Annual Reporting
The following Fire Safety Regulations exist for student residing on campus:
Periodic fire drills (twice per Academic Year) are performed to insure that residents know what to do in the event of a fire. All residents must
vacate the building at once using the nearest stairway exit. Residents do not return to the building until campus police has investigated the
situation then given the all clear signal.

In addition, throughout the academic year, bi-monthly Health and Safety Inspections are conducted per room in each residence hall. Information
is disseminated to residents through residential handbook, “
Guide to University Living, residential hall meetings and programs within each residence
hall.
