Agricultural Education/General Agriculture

The agricultural education program is an interdisciplinary degree that combines the art and science of teaching with scientific and technical knowledge of agriculture. The curriculum includes courses in education, agricultural sciences and engineering technology. Students are advised by faculty in the department of agriculture. Graduates of the agricultural education program have broad academic, technical and interpersonal skills for personal growth and career success in both private and public sectors. Some of the career options in agricultural education include teaching, agribusiness sales, public relations, Extension agent/specialist, training and development specialist, rural/community development and international development.
