Financial Aid Information

The Intent to Register form for Summer 2014 is available on the Financial Aid page on the web.   It can be accessed through Current or Future Students and may be completed by students who want an assessment of federal financial aid available to them for the summer term. 

Federal loans are subject to annual and aggregate maximums, therefore the amount borrowed, if any, during the 2013-2014 academic year as well as in prior years could affect eligibility for loans during the summer.  A student must enroll in at least six (6) hours total in order to be eligible for a federal student loan (this can be in either Summer I or II or the two sessions combined).  Students who intend to enroll in both Summer I and Summer II must register for all classes for each session by June 3, 2014, in order for the hours to be considered in determining maximum federal financial aid eligibility.

A student who remains registered after being deemed ineligible to receive federal financial aid remains responsible for paying all charges unless satisfactory payment arrangements, which may include other sources of financial aid or payroll deduction, are made during the summer term. Payment or satisfactory payment arrangements for summer charges must be made by the last date for course cancellations/adjustments as printed in the Academic Calendar unless communicated otherwise. 

Financial aid and student account information will be communicated through UAPB email and WebAdvisor.  Students are advised to keep abreast of information that may affect their status.
