Museum and Library Holdings
The University Museum and Cultural Center, established in 2005, is a self-supporting exhibit hall funded solely through grants and private donations. Created for historical reference, this edifice holds photographs, programs, sports memorabilia and legal documentations from Branch Normal College, Arkansas AM&N College and the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff. UMCC features a large collection of photographs, catalogs, yearbooks, letters, artifacts, portraits, and other ephemera that document the lives of the women and men who helped to shape the history of the university and the surrounding Delta area. The museum offers exciting educational programs, provides support to faculty to utilize the UMCC and its material within the framework of their classes, and positively impacts the education of thousands of UAPB students with writing exercises, critical thinking, and enhancing their understanding of our history.
