The Department of Human Sciences prepares graduates for careers and for graduate and professional schools through academic programs that engage them in research to solve stakeholder problems. The faculty develops research programs that generate new knowledge based on emerging trends and provide educational experiences that prepare students for careers in human sciences and related fields.
A Bachelor of Science degree in Human Sciences is offered with the following concentrations in:
Human Development and Family Studies
Merchandising, Textiles and Design
Nutrition and Dietetics (Didactic Program in Dietetics)
The Department operates the UAPB Child Development Center for ages 18 months to 4 years. The Center is accredited by the Arkansas Department of Human Services, Division of Child Care and Early Childhood Education.
