WELCOME

Welcome and thank you for visiting the University Museum and Cultural Center (UMCC) online. UMCC is home to the Keepers of the Spirit: The L.A. Davis Historical Collection that documents the more than 140-year history of the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff (UAPB). Our website highlights our mission, exhibitions, and research opportunities. Please feel free to read more about our museum on this site or come in for a visit.


TOURS

Self-guided Tours

Self-guided tours are available anytime the museum is open. No reservations are required.

Guided Tours

Guided tours for groups are available at the museum on request. Guided visits are generally limited to 9 to 25 people. Groups larger than 25 people will be asked to split into smaller groups before entering the museum galleries.

To schedule a guided tour for your group, please contact the director of the museum 10 business days before your desired tour date. Dates and times for guided tours are dependent upon the museum staff's availability. Your group tour is not finalized until you receive a written confirmation from the museum staff.

HOURS AND LOCATION

The University Museum & Cultural Center will be closed November 23rd and November 24th for Thanksgiving.

The University Museum and Cultural Center is closed when the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff (UAPB) is closed. Weekends and holidays are by appointment for tour groups only. We remain open during fall and spring breaks and at other times when classes are not in session, as long as the entire university is not closed. For the current university holiday calendar, please visit: 

Admission is free and open to the general public
. The museum is housed in Childress Hall, which is located on the northeast corner of the central quadrangle of the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff campus.
