Child Welfare Stipends

Through the Arkansas Academic Partnership in Public Child Welfare Grant, the Social Work Program at the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff  offers two child welfare stipends annually in the amount of $5,000.00.* Interested students are required to: 

  • Be classified as a senior in good academic standing
  • Have a minimum of a 2.5 grade point average
  • Be willing to complete a minimum of 400 hour field practicum at the Department of Health and Human Services/Division of Children and Family Services.
  • Be willing to enroll in a selected child welfare course during spring semester and complete field experience lab. 
Currently, the Department of Health and Human Services is accepting majors from the following aeas: Social Work, Criminal Justice, Psychology, Human Development, Family Studies, Sociology, Family Services, Social Welfare, Family Development, Rehabilitation Services, Human Services, Child & Family Development and Counseling.
