Friends of the Museum
The University Museum and Cultural Center needs volunteers to serve as greeters, receptionists, and docents/tour guides to assist in researching the rich history of the university, Jefferson County and the Arkansas Delta. You are an important link in this rich legacy.
You are a treasure trove, an untapped source of information about events and people accumulated from your many life experiences and knowledge by serving as a tour guide or docent for visitors to the museum or assisting the museum staff in collecting and identifying photographs and other documents. You may also help us identify other individuals who would like to help us preserve the history of the university and document the significant events and accomplishments of the people of the Arkansas Delta.
To become a Friend of the Museum all you have to do is serve as a volunteer in the museum at least four hours per week. If you have the time and interest you many serve as many hours as you desire. The museum staff can also assist you if you have a special project or topic of interest that you would like to research. For more information, please contact the director at (870) 575-8232 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
