Next Steps for Graduation

Upon successful completion of your Spring 2021 coursework, you will need to complete various task to indicate that you will be a candidate for Graduation: 

 

  1. Exit University College Timely, to ensure developmental and general education exams are completed. 
  2. Meet with Advisor to ensure you have met all requirements. 
  3. Check Golden Gateway Self-Service for holds
  4. Be sure to pay your graduation fee 
  5. April 30, 2021 check Golden Gateway Self-Service to be sure that ALL grades have been post past and present. Missing grades will restrict you from picking up regalia and graduating if not submitted timely
  6. Graduate students should check with their respective advisor or graduate coordinator to ensure all non-coursework requirements have been satisfied. 
  7. After you complete all exams. Check Golden Gateway Self-Service for program status. 
  8. Financial Aid Exit Counseling: You should log on to www.studentid.gov and sign-in using username and password that you used to complete the FAFSA application.


    The Chancellor of University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff will confer your degree on Saturday, May 8, 2021. If for any reason you cannot participate in the Commencement Exercise, you should contact the Office of the Registrar by email and request permission to graduate in absentia. Information regarding Commencement will be provided shortly. 

     

    Please see the anticipated dates below:

    • May 5th – Pick up cap and gown
    • May 7th – Graduation Rehearsal
    • May 8th – Graduation


    Graduation fees of $52 (Undergraduate) $63 (Graduate) will be due to all graduating seniors in the Spring 2021 Semester. Any persons with an outstanding balance by Friday, April 1, 2021 will not be permitted to participate in the Commencement Exercise. The graduation clearance form is omitted this semester to comply with the COVID-19 policy and social distancing. Your name will be submitted to Residential Services, Dean of Students, Student Financial Services, Career Services, University Police and Public Safety, Nat'l Defense Student Loan Collection, and PDSO (International students ONLY) for clearance. If you do not clear with any of the departments. You will receive an email, giving you instructions on how to clear within the department.
