Next Steps for Graduation

Upon submission of your graduation application during the term prior to graduation (per the Academic Calendar) and successful completion of your coursework, you will need to complete various tasks to indicate that you will be a candidate for Graduation: 

1. Exit University College Timely, to ensure developmental and general education exams are completed. 
2. Meet with Advisor to ensure you have met all requirements. 
3. Check Golden Gateway Self-Service for holds
4. Be sure to pay your graduation fee 
5. Check Golden Gateway Self-Service to be sure that ALL grades have been post past and present. Missing grades will restrict you from picking up regalia and graduating if not submitted timely
6. Graduate students should check with their respective advisor or graduate coordinator to ensure all non-coursework requirements have been satisfied. 
7. After you complete all exams. Check Golden Gateway Self-Service for program status. 
8. Financial Aid Exit Counseling: You should log on to www.studentid.gov and sign-in using username and password that you used to complete the FAFSA application.

Check the Academic Calendar for the date of Commencement. If for any reason you cannot participate in the Commencement Exercise, you should contact the Office of the Registrar by email and request permission to graduate in absentia. Information regarding Commencement and other important dates will be emailed to students who have applied for graduation.
