Re: Fall 2020 Commencement Ceremony- CHANGE OF DATE/VENUE
The Commencement Ceremony marks a special point in time and is a sacred university tradition. With that in mind, all planning efforts were exhausted to provide the Class of 2020 with a traditional, in-person Commencement.
Unfortunately, due to the forecasted and recent spikes of Covid-19 in our state and country, we’ve had to deviate from our plans for a traditional Commencement and plan for a Virtual Commencement Ceremony. Therefore, we will not have an in-person Commencement Ceremony as previously scheduled for Saturday, November, 21, 2020.
A Virtual Commencement will air on December 18, 2020 at 6:00 p.m. for you and your guests to view via YouTube. More details are forthcoming.
The postponement of Commencement will not pose a delay in degree conferral. Commencement questions can be directed to Ms. Jeanese Outlaw at email@example.com.
We are looking forward to this time to celebrate you and your accomplishments! We also appreciate your patience and understanding through these changes as we work to keep our campus community safe.
